I am so excited to find a product that is natural and effective. If you know me, you know I LOVE and I am fascinated by regenerative aesthetics. Airessence is the combination of 30 years of experience in the growth factor field by Dr. Samuel Lynch working with platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), the only growth factor to have received FDA approval in 4 medical therapeutic products. What is it?
PDGF+ is Sterile recombinant derived growth factor - In layman's terms it is growth factor made in a lab (kind of like insulin). Very similar to PRP and PRF without the blood draw.
The formulation contains four key ingredients: water, sodium acetate, hyaluronic acid, and sh-polypeptide-59 dimer (PDGF-BB). PDGF-BB is a bioidentical, lab-derived protein produced through recombinant technology, ensuring a pure, sterile, and pharmaceutical-grade product.

Benefits for the Skin
Okay now that we know what it is, what is it actually going to do for our skin? To help us understand we must first know what growth factor does and why the concentration is so important. Growth factor stimulates fibroblast and endothelial cell proliferation, increasing collagen and elastin production. Blah blah blah, that's just a fancy way of saying that PDGF tells the cells to act younger and produce more. This is essential for maintaining youthful and healthy skin.
- Fine Line and Wrinkle Reduction: Collagen stimulation/production reduces the appearance of aging signs.
- Slight to Moderate Volume Loss: Activation of the skin’s fibroblasts by the growth factor, producing more collagen and elastin. This creates thicker, stronger and more resilient skin.

What is the difference between PRP/PRF and PDGF?
Both treatments are used in aesthetics and healing treatments for skin rejuvenation. The main difference to me is the blood draw/variability. But there are a couple more:

One is made in a lab (PDGF) and one comes from your own body (PRP/PRF).

PRP/PRF contain a combination of platelets, growth factors (including PDGF), white blood cells, and plasma protein, some of which can be inflammatory. PDGF contains the 4 ingredients listed above.

The concentration of growth factors.
In regards to PRP/PRF the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology “There was a significant improvement in fine wrinkles, skin homogeneity, and texture, with notable improvement in the fourth week and the greatest improvement observed in the eighth week after injection” With PRP/PRF you are hoping for a 4-5 fold increase in platelet derived growth factor when spinning down the blood. With PDGF there is a 1000-3000 fold increase.
PRP and PRF are also VERY dependent on how healthy you are (diet, exercise, disease, family history).

Under eye filler Vs. PDGF
Listen, I love instant gratification as much as the next. Who wants to wait?! But with some treatments it takes some time. However, PDGF sets in pretty quickly. The high concentration of growth factor leads to less treatments. A double win!
You guys, I am a nurse injector. I love under eye fillers. I have under eye filler myself. Done by a great injector and now it needs to be dissolved before I can do PDGF on myself. There are a lot of people that are not good candidates. About 10% that see me are true candidates for under eye filler, so what do the other 90% do? Nothing? NO! They still have concerns such as loose skin, puffy under eyes or dark circles. That is why I am so excited to have this option at Hush Aesthetics.
